Friday 1.

Quick snap of your blogger in reflective mood this morning. After taking this and also playing (not to say experimenting) with the camera for a bit, we walked into town to a coffee morning (basically coffee and croisants -both very good). We walked home via the Market Place (it's market day), where our local celebrity chef was cooking free samples at an open air stall- partly to advertise, and partly to sell, the local delicatessen shop's wares. Stopped for a natter, and eventually sampled some of his wares (did a quality control check in the modern parlance). Very good indeed, but already slightly regretting one or two of the more exotic samples. Came home in time to meet Keith Pinn, fellow dealer, who called to borrow a couple of snuff boxes. Got to grab a spot of lunch now, then change and pick up Ann (who is helping at the Ansell Club) in time to go to a funeral this afternoon in Ipswich. More later perhaps.

noticed lately my constitution is starting to struggle a bit with too many chicken vindaloos....must be an age thing I suppose...always had a cast iron stomach.

My dad always said "You can't beat a good funeral". No idea what he meant unless it was the free food drinks?

Lovely pic Mike, couldn't help playing with it. I've e-mailed you one and blogged another at PokeInTheEye -

Exotic food is OK but often best on other folk's plates!

Squid & Pineapple Cobbler is all-right I suppose, as long as there's enough 'creme anglais' to camouflage the fishy bits!
