Sunday 2.

On Friday morning Ann and I motored into Winslow, a small market town a few miles form Sarah's. As you can see there is a small antique centre on the Market Place, where I can usually buy. On Friday I bought a sword, a pair of eighteenth century brass candlesticks, and a couple of pieces of pewter - not a bad haul.

What a pretty little town! I get in trouble for my candlestick obsession. At last count we had 7 in the living room. Tom's put a ban on my buying any more.

Hello, Miss D. I think your word 'obsession' is accurate. Any form of collecting is obsessive, not to say an addiction. There is only one known cure, and that is to become a dealer, which I did many years ago. I'm still a collector though. We've TEN candlesticks in our living room. If I remember, I'll illustrate some of them for you on my next blog.
Regards, Mike.
