Thursday.

Went to Sudbury this morning to do some shopping, and as it turned out, some socialising (met old friend so went off for a coffee to catch up on all the news). Doing odd jobs in the workshop this afternoon and evening.
Above photoes taken on Monday during our evening stroll. Top one taken by Ann up on the railway walk. I took the one of Ann when we were nearly home. Time to knock off now, I think. Goodnight.

Another sensitively composed portrait of Ann in reflective mood.
It really is a delightful photograph when enlarged.
You are doing this much too often to pass it off as just another serendipitous coincidence of light and circumstance. Fine work Bruv.

Just been admiring the photo again and my eye was drawn to the distant church spire.
Which started a new train of thought. Jog my memory please, Mike. Did the tower masonry collapse about the time when the new Dean assumed his incumbency?
Somehow my mind keeps wanting to link the Dean's arrival with Poe's story 'The fall of the House of Ussher' - daft innit?

Crowbard, sorry I didn't answer your query before. Just been looking it up, and the tower masonry collapsed about two months after the Dean's arrival.
